The Hope of Heaven

We have so much to look forward to when we follow Jesus and put our trust in Him by accepting Him as our personal Savior.

We all need hope, unconditional love, and sometimes we need a helping hand.

Let’s run the race in such a way as to receive the prize that awaits at the end of our journey for those who have faith and who trust God. What waits is HEAVEN. I don’t think people talk enough about heaven. Some may not believe in it. Some may doubt there is one.

The universe is so spectacular. It causes many to wonder about all the *what ifs* and the *how dids* pertaining to the things that are out of our sight and our reach.

Have you ever wondered what heaven will be like? All the things that God has planned for those who love Him?

He’s given us a glimpse of what to expect in the book of Revelation. Here are only a few things that waits for us:

“There is a river of the water of life…” (Revelation 22:1 NAS)

And, “The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone” ~ Revelation 21:19 (NASB).

“The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone” (Rev. 21:19 NAS).

The wall has twelve foundations: jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, chrysoprase, jacinth, amethyst. (Rev. 21:19 NAS).

Revelation 21:21 says, “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.”

Can you imagine? Wouldn’t it be neat to see a street of gold?

I Corinthians 2:9, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him”

Hope in Jesus. Hope in God. You can check out my entire post on Candidly Christian.

Going through some troubling times? Take heart and turn toward the the Light of Jesus; the only cure.
