Because He Lives . . . conclusion

The Truth of the Matter

Those who have never accepted Jesus as their personal Savior don’t know what it’s like to walk with the Protector of our Souls. Jesus walks behind us to guard our backs, He walks beside us as our Friend, and He moves before us to guide us in the right direction, while pushing our enemies aside. And a Shepherd to His flock.

How awesome is that?

It’s rather difficult for those who don’t know Him as their personal Savior to understand what it’s like to be picked up when we fall down . . . to carry us when we’re not strong enough to walk . . . and to be a light unto our path when we’re going through dark and difficult times in our lives.

I don’t believe that society has a race problem or a division problem or even an envious of the wealthy problem. I believe our society has a heart problem–hearts filled with hate, resentment, envy, lying tongues, gossiping, and belief in the propaganda that the media grinds out on a daily basis.

Prescious time wasted.

There is an answer: hope in Jesus the Christ.

What exactly does this mean? It means that those who have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior know that real hope doesn’t end on earth. This world doesn’t own hope. Heaven owns hope, and because the final destination for the believer is in heaven to spend eternity with Jesus. The story of hope continues after death. This is the reason there will always be hope even though we may all experience hopelessness. There is always hope in Jesus.

So we can face the future because Jesus lives. Because of Him we have the good news of salvation to share with the world.

The most wonderful part is that this hope is for everyone and is offered to everyone if they  will accept Jesus as Savior. It is my prayer that the world would come to know Him as I do. It is my prayer that we as Christ-followers will not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, “for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘But the righteous man shall live by faith'” (Romans 1:16-17 NASB).

Our enemies have no chance against us, and we can play a part to help change hearts and lives by guiding people toward Jesus.

I close this post with some of my favorite verses in the Bible:

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peach; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, wich is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me [the Apostle Paul], that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. (Eph.6:13-19
